The Home Place Restoration

When The Monroe Brothers Foundation was established, it's most critical project was to immediately begin the restoration of the Monroe family cabin, which by that time was almost beyond repair. If not for the efforts and dedication by BMF members and supporters, this national treasure might have been lost forever. Along with local craftsmen, carpenters and restoration professionals, the Home Place now stands as a lasting monument to be enjoyed for many years to come!

Below are a series of before and after photos of various stages of the restoration project which illustrate the near un-salvagable condition the cabin was in and the miraculous job that the artisans, craftsmen and other workers did to restore this historic gem to it's near original appearance and condition!.
